Searching for any info on my father, George T Kisel. He served in the 403rd squadron, I believe in Owi, New Guinea. Was injured there and spent 8 months in the hospital in Colorado. Thank you.

I am researching all aircraft that crashed attached to the 43rd Bombardment Group.

I am actively seeking to locate relatives of any US servicemen that lost their lives in the Pacific and Australia to honour them in my research.

Please make contact via email if you wish to be involved in this very rewarding project in honouring the fallen of the 43rd.

Kind regards

My father-in-law Elmer J Schwalbach was a gunner on the Barbara Jean 65th Bomb Group. . Left the plane in May of 45 and landed in San Fran the day Germany surrendered. Owi Island and other areas. He enjoyed looking at these pictures and bringing back memories. He is still with us.

My Grandfather John F. McEachron was part of the 65 Bomb Squadron, 43 Bomb Group (H). He departed from the US on 30 JUN 1943 and returned 23 MAR 1944. Any information is greatly appreciated; this site has proven to be invaluable!

Great Website. My father was Capt. Bernard Wollin, a navigator. Not sure which aircraft he flew aboard. Dad passed away in October 2002 in Boca Raton, FL.
I may be able to find some photos that I can scan and upload. If there is interest in more images for the website, please let me know where to send them.

My father-in-law was Ervin Schindhelm, bombardier on the B-24. Am currently trying to sort through his photos from the war - Ervin died in 1999, his wife in 2006. If anyone has served, or has family who served, with Erv, I'd love to hear from you! - he would have loved the idea of this website!

My Dad was Don P Baker - flew with all the brave men of the 43rd and as "Ken's Men". He worked tirelessly to help with the reunions after he got over his fear of flying! His return trip to the mainland was so frightening he told God he'd never go more than 20' off the ground if he made it. lol

But he did, and was a big part of their revitalized reunions - died August 18, 1995; lived to see all the 50th anniversary TV shows and to talk to some of his remaining flight buddies. God bless my Daddy and all those who served with him in the 43rd.
