I enjoyed the 43rd reunion of 2011 and very sad to learn just how many friends have made their last flight.

gentlemen,

may god bless the men who shouldered the burden of the pacific conflict.

my dad was a b-24 gunner/bombadier, and i am now attempting to research his contribution to our freedoms.

i have the utmost respect for all who gave some, and some who gave all.

my dad was always, and will always remain... my hero. it's his selfless patriotism that impressed me most, and led me to the navy where, in my humble way, i served during the vietnam conflict.

the men of that era, who put themselves in 'harms way' to preserve our way of life, have my un dying admiration and gratitude.

godspeed to all 'kens men'

dave

I am looking for any information about my father Michael T. Edsall who was a B-24 pilot or co-pilot. He flew aircraft "Come And Get It". I did find that he flew 43 missions. He passed away 11 years ago and I am interested in find ANY information on the missions and area that he flew those missions. Any info will be treasured by me. Thank you.

Great web site. My dad, Thomas P. O'Connor (Troy, NY) passed away in 1993. Tom was a B24 BN, probably in the 43rd Bomb Group. I have his ribbons and a DFC medal. I'd be interested in getting the associated Summary of Action & award citation. I have a copy of his DD214 somewhere... Tom's brother, Bill, served in the Navy as a TBM pilot flying from the USS Monterey. I've found the VetRecs website, but need to find the DD214 first. I'd appreciate any advice on research.

Hi I'm looking to see if anyone has had recent contact with Dick Russell 65th Sqaudron. He was part of the crew with Capt. Tom Scannell and Lt. Paul Nichols. I believe he may be living in VA. Sgt. Dick Russell was part of the crew that was shot up over Balikpapen, Borneo. I am looking to get a hold of him to inquire about several of his crew men. Thank You, Steve Martin

Awesome site. I am looking for information about the painting by Alan Eaton 10th October 1944 over Balikpapan, Boreno. I believe my fiance's dad Ronald Victor Kenroy was wounded on that mission where LT. Don Hunt was killed and a total of 5 gunners wounded. Their pilot was Lt. Thomas Scannell. Also looking for the book " Lucky Dicers". Her father Ronald Victor Kenroy has a picture with his squadron on Kens Men site. He passed away when my fiance was 11 yrs old. Just trying to fond out more about him and his missions. Thank you, Steve Martin

My father, TSgt Lee B Quilici, served in the 65th Sqdn 1943-44 -- I have a photo of him and one of his crews from March 44, standing in front of a B-24 "Lucky Lucille," which I think must be the "Lucky Lucy?" noted in your a/c listing for 65th Sqdn. I would be happy to upload the photo to kensmen.com if you would tell me how to do that.
